Tom + Shadi | Dewsall Court Wedding

Wedding season – spring

Venue – Dewsall Court

Dewsall Court Weddings have become a favourite of ours as a wedding venue, it is a Hereford Wedding Photographers dream. Set in 12 acres of landscaped gardens everything is on hand for all the wedding requirements, it even has a rustic church at St Michaels and All Angels situated within the grounds for a traditional wedding service, however there are facilities at Dewsall Court for civil ceremonies with a wedding planner on hand if required, added to this it is only a 5-minute drive away from where we live!

Our wedding couple this time was Tom and Shadi, who although they were from London they had chosen Herefordshire for their wedding day and had also chosen a West Midlands photographer. We met Shadi and Tom the evening before their wedding at Dewsall Court Country House to finalise some details and chat about their big day.

All of the weddings we photograph are special and each one is unique, so there was no surprise to learn that Shadi and Tom had planned an intimate ‘pyjama civil ceremony’ to take place in the morning of their wedding day, everyone was in pyjama’s, including the registrar! I think this was a first for us, of course the pictures are available via an online protected gallery, but only to family and friends!

Tom and Shadi had chosen to have two wedding photographers which is a great choice that we highly recommend, as it allows for 2 different perspectives on proceedings and can have more of a documentary photography feel to a wedding album, reporting from early in the morning with all the preparations all the way through to the reception and evening party.

So the following morning we were up at the crack of dawn to photograph both the Bride & Groom’s wedding preparations, with the Bride’s hair beautifully arranged by our good friend Tabby (www.hairbytabitha.com). Afterwards the bride and groom made their separate ways from the grand country house to the grounds at Dewsall Court for a rustic barn wedding, the interior had been decorated with elegance and style and gave a very warm atmosphere. Family friends and guests then congregated outside in the beautiful gardens at Dewsall Court for drinks and refreshments, we were very lucky with the weather although there was a brief downpour but that didn’t dampen spirits in the least!

The reception at the rustic barn that followed to toast the happy couple, was full of laughter, joy and merriment for this obviously very popular couple. The sun appeared later, on cue for Tom and Shadi to have some special classically natural photographs taken of them in the stunning gardens at Dewsall Court, the light was just right for a Wedding Photographer, we are very lucky with our couples, they all seem to appreciate photography and help us to create something very special for them to keep forever.

The evening celebrations had everyone dancing the night away, again the weather was kind and the wedding party spilled out into the gardens for more merriment and toasted marshmallows!
