Wedding season : Winter
Venue : Eastnor Castle
I meet many people at a big wedding show here in the West Midlands, which is a great occasion for West Midlands Wedding Photographers to get to know other professionals and of course couples who are planning to get married, this is where I met Annabel and Richard, who had travelled from London to find a Herefordshire Wedding Photographer and inspiration for their forthcoming wedding at Eastnor Castle in Herefordshire.
Initially the plan was to meet up in their home city to photograph their engagement celebrations, however plans changed and they decided on Worcestershire. I think pre wedding photos are a great idea as it gives us a chance to have a chat about their big day and also for the intended couple to get used to the wedding photographer and camera.
The big day began at Annabel’s parents’ home, with hair and makeup administered by the very talented Brook Price http://www.brookeprice.co.uk/, followed by a few final touches at Eastnor Castle then off to the nearby church for the marriage ceremony. I also have to add here a mention to Charlotte and Chris from Mr and Mrs Production who were the videographers for the day – http://www.mrandmrsproductions.com/ what a fantastic team! We love them and cannot wait to see the video, here in Herefordshire we really do have some talented people to work with.
Anabel and Richard had chosen the Christmas season to get married, which is a lovely time of year, however for a Herefordshire Wedding Photographer it has some challenges with lighting conditions and of course with the weather, as you can see from the photographs the weather was not kind, lots of umbrellas, very wet and grey! Thankfully an Eastnor Castle Wedding always has the grandeur of an impressive stately home and has a vast variety of photo opportunities, starting with a beautiful candlelit reception for the newlywed couple and wedding guests, followed by the wedding breakfast and speeches in one of the gothic stately rooms, what could be more atmospheric than this!
There were some surprises in store during the day, you could say that Annabel and Richard had a fusion wedding as Annabel is English and Richard is Welsh, and although Annabel does not speak Welsh, she gave a speech at the breakfast in Richards native tongue! Then to add to the surprise and delight for all, the wedding party were treated to fabulous food accompanied by singing waitresses! This wedding had been carefully thought about and delighted all of the guests.
Annabel and Richard rounded off their day with an evening party and started the celebrations off with the traditional first dance shortly followed by all the guests, what a stunning couple they make, it was not long before the party was in full swing. The final touch to this enchanting fairy tale wedding was a display of spectacular fireworks beside Eastnors beautiful lake. This wedding had all the elements that makes a West Midlands Wedding Photographers day, thank you Annabel and Richard for a wonderful time.
