James and Asta’s Broadfield Court Wedding

Broadfield Court Wedding 1

James and Asta’s Broadfield Court wedding was an absolute dream. From the moment I arrived, I knew this was going to be something special. Broadfield Court is one of those wedding venues that just ticks all the boxes—historic charm, stunning countryside views, and a proper exclusive-use feel. Tucked away at the end of a long drive in Herefordshire, it’s got this beautifully relaxed vibe while still feeling really special. The house itself is full of character, and there are so many gorgeous spots for a wedding—whether it’s saying ‘I do’ in the drawing room with the light streaming through the bay window, out on the lawns, or even in the orchard. For receptions, couples can go for a marquee on the grounds or keep things cozy in the barn, which has loads of character. Plus, with nine lovely bedrooms on-site, there’s plenty of space to make a whole weekend of it. It’s also family-run, which means everything feels super personal, and they really go the extra mile to make sure each wedding is unique.

Broadfield Court Wedding Photographer

Broadfield Court is just one of the many incredible wedding venues in Herefordshire, and I feel so lucky to be based in this beautiful part of the West Midlands. I’ve been a Broadfield Court wedding photographer a few times now, and every single time, my couples—and this stunning venue—somehow manage to exceed my expectations. While I travel all over the UK and beyond to capture weddings, I have to say, having so many spectacular venues right on my doorstep is something I’ll never take for granted!

Asta and James both got ready at Broadfield Court, and as usual, I arrived well before the ceremony to capture all those pre-wedding moments. The weather was absolutely perfect—around 30°C, which made their decision to have an outdoor ceremony in the enchanting woodland a total win. It couldn’t have been a better setting for such a romantic exchange of vows. After the ceremony, we all headed to the large south-facing terrace for the drinks reception. The view was stunning, with the terrace leading down to the rose garden and beyond. It was also so great to see some of my previous wedding clients at this one. It’s funny how small the world is—seeing familiar faces really adds to the feeling that I’m part of something special.

Since Asta and James invited more than 50 guests, they decided to host their wedding breakfast and speeches in the marquee. It was the perfect choice, with the marquee set up beautifully and an open side wall that allowed those stunning views to flow right into the room. It made the whole experience feel so connected to the surrounding nature. We also took full advantage of the soft evening light and stole Asta, James, and the wedding party for a few extra portraits. The golden hour glow was the perfect touch to their already beautiful day, and we captured some truly stunning moments.

From the moment the evening kicked off, I knew this crowd was going to be wild. The dance floor was absolute mayhem—everyone was letting loose and having the time of their lives. I know I say this all the time, but I love photographing drunk people. There’s something about those carefree, unfiltered moments that just make for the best photos.

If you’re planning your own wedding at Broadfield Court, I would be absolutely over the moon to be considered as your wedding photographer. This stunning venue is so close to home for me, and I’d love the chance to come back and capture more incredible moments here.
