Callum and Hope chose this incredible venue for their summer wedding, and it couldn’t have been a better setting. With golden sunlight streaming through the windows and the castle gardens in full bloom, their day was as beautiful as it was unforgettable. Berkeley Castle Wedding Videographer
I was over the moon when Callum and Hope commissioned me as their Berkeley Castle wedding videographer. There’s something truly special about capturing love stories in a setting as grand and historic as this, and I knew from the start that their wedding day was going to be incredible.
Over the years, I’ve been privileged to photograph and film weddings at some of the most breathtaking castles across the UK. From centuries-old fortresses to elegant stately homes, each one has its own unique character and charm. After 16 years of shooting weddings, I’ve come to know the ins and outs of working in these historic venues—understanding the best ways to use natural light, how to frame cinematic shots within castle interiors, and, most importantly, how to document a couple’s day in a way that feels authentic and true to them. Berkeley Castle is without a doubt one of the most spectacular venues I’ve worked at, and being part of Callum and Hope’s wedding here was an absolute joy.
As usual, I began the day with some establishing shots of Berkeley Castle, making the most of its breathtaking architecture and stunning surroundings. The weather was fantastic, with clear skies and beautiful light—perfect for filming. However, I have to admit, my drone had a bit of a challenge battling the strong winds! Still, I managed to capture some incredible aerial views of the castle and its grounds.
One of the great things about Callum and Hope’s wedding was that both the bride and groom were getting ready in nearby cottages. This meant I could easily move between both parties, capturing those all-important pre-ceremony moments—the excitement, the laughter, and all the little details that make the morning so special.
What makes Berkeley Castle even more unique as a wedding venue is that it has its own church within the grounds. This was where Callum and Hope chose to exchange their vows, and I couldn’t think of a more fitting setting. Church ceremonies always have a certain beauty to them, with their timeless atmosphere, soft natural light, and the sense of tradition that adds so much to the occasion.
After the ceremony, Callum and Hope were met with cheers and smiles as they walked through an incredible confetti tunnel—a perfect moment of pure joy and excitement. From there, the celebrations continued with a relaxed drinks reception on the bottom lawn of the castle gardens. This is one of my favorite parts of the day to film, as it allows me to capture guests and family in a completely natural way. The laughter, the heartfelt conversations, and the little moments of connection all add so much personality to a wedding film.
For me, wedding videography is about documenting the day as it unfolds, not staging moments. I want couples to relive their wedding exactly as it happened—full of real emotions and genuine interactions. That’s why I always focus on making my couples feel as comfortable as possible, allowing them to enjoy the day while I capture everything effortlessly in the background.
As the afternoon moved on, it was time for the wedding breakfast, and what a setting it was. The Great Hall at Berkeley Castle is nothing short of spectacular, with its towering stone walls, impressive tapestries, and candlelit ambiance creating a truly medieval and majestic atmosphere. Saying “wow” would be an understatement! It’s the kind of space that transports you back in time, making every wedding here feel even more special.
With the wedding breakfast and speeches wrapped up, guests enjoyed a relaxed cocktail hour while the venue team worked their magic, transforming The Great Hall into a breathtaking dance floor. The shift from a grand medieval dining setting to an electrifying party space was seamless, and it set the stage for an unforgettable evening.

Callum and Hope kicked off the night with their first dance to Taylor Swift’s Love Story, and from the very first beat, the energy in the room was unreal. Instead of waiting on the sidelines, everyone jumped straight onto the dance floor with them, turning the moment into a full-blown celebration.
As a wedding filmmaker, I’ve experienced my fair share of epic dance floors, but this one was on another level. The atmosphere, the music, and the sheer joy from every guest made it one of the best nights I’ve ever had the pleasure of capturing.
