As a Dubrovnik wedding videographer, I had the absolute privilege of capturing Dan and Lucy’s incredible day in one of the most breathtaking locations on earth. Since becoming a destination wedding videographer and photographer, my love for weddings has grown to an entirely new level. Every couple, every setting, and every love story brings something unique, and getting to document these moments in such stunning destinations is truly a dream come true.
I’ve always believed I have the best job in the world, but being able to combine my passion for storytelling with my love for travel makes it even more special. There’s something magical about filming a wedding abroad—the golden Mediterranean light, the historic charm of Dubrovnik’s old town, and the joy of two people promising forever in a place that feels like a fairytale.

Dubrovnik is a place that never ceases to amaze me. Having visited several times, it has become one of my absolute favorite wedding destinations. With its centuries-old stone walls, terracotta rooftops, and breathtaking views of the Adriatic Sea, this city feels like something straight out of a fairytale. The way the golden light bounces off the historic architecture, the sound of the waves gently crashing against the shore, and the vibrant energy of the old town create an atmosphere unlike anywhere else.
It’s no surprise that so many couples choose Dubrovnik for their destination wedding. Whether exchanging vows with the city’s iconic walls as a backdrop or celebrating along the sparkling coastline, every wedding here has a timeless, cinematic feel. For Dan and Lucy, this magical setting was the perfect place to say ‘I do,’ and I couldn’t have been more thrilled to capture their love story in a location that holds such a special place in my heart.
On this particular occasion, Dan and Lucy commissioned me to film their wedding, and I couldn’t have been more excited to document their special day. Filming in Dubrovnik is always an incredible experience, but being entrusted to capture a couple’s love story in such a breathtaking setting is truly an honor. From the emotional moments to the stunning scenery, every detail came together to create a wedding video that was both beautiful and unforgettable.
For destination weddings, preparation is key. We always make sure to arrive a few days before the big day—especially when filming in a location we haven’t visited before. This time allows us to familiarize ourselves with the surroundings, scout the best filming spots, and, most importantly, connect with the couple and their families.
For many destination weddings, couples also arrange a rehearsal dinner, which we happily attend. This isn’t just a great way to capture additional meaningful moments, but it also helps everyone feel more at ease in front of the camera. By the time the wedding day arrives, the atmosphere is so much more relaxed, and we can focus on documenting the day naturally and authentically.
Dan and Lucy welcomed us with open arms, making us feel like part of the family from the very start. We spent every moment of their incredible Dubrovnik wedding weekend by their side, capturing every emotion, every laugh, and every unforgettable memory. From the excitement of the preparations at a local hotel to the breathtaking boat trip to Kolocep Island for their ceremony, every part of their celebration was filled with joy and adventure. And when it came to the dance floor? Let’s just say we weren’t just filming—we were right there in the middle of it, celebrating alongside them!
