2018 wedding season will soon be upon us and we honestly cannot wait to be a part of it! We are extremely excited to see what this incredible industry has to offer and most importantly what are the new trends! What are you most excited for on your wedding day? We believe that exploring the possibilities for your wedding is the most fun part of being engaged! Winter is a great time for you all to get some ideas and inspiration from other couples. Over the next few weeks, we will be sharing full wedding stories we had the pleasure of photographing last season so stay tuned! We are starting off this week with a beautiful Belfry Hotel wedding of Ashley and Abu – full story below.

As West Midlands Wedding Photographers, many couples thinking of getting married find our services on line, which was the case for Ashley and Abu who then arranged to meet us a few weeks before their wedding day to get to know each other and discuss their plans in more detail. Ashley and Abu live in London, and so we chose the beautiful city for their engagement session. We absolutely fell in love with Notting Hill and Portobello Market, the cityscape is insanely beautiful.

The couple had decided to host both their ceremony and reception at one of the most glamorous venues in the Midlands, The Belfry Hotel. This often takes away the stresses of travelling to and from different venues. We must admit that we got lost in the hotel a few times on the day, the building and its grounds are absolutely enormous. The morning arrived and we split up to take photographs of the bride and grooms wedding preparations. Ashley had chosen to get ready for the day in a beautiful quirky cottage near the venue with all her bridesmaids, whilst Abu was with his groomsmen getting ready at The Belfry Hotel, we like to record the whole day with our documentary style of photography, so I stayed with the bride and my wife spent the morning with the groom and his groomsmen.

When the guests had all assembled in the magnificent suit, Ashley made her way down the aisle for the wedding ceremony, accompanied by music from a string quartet she looked stunning in a full-length dress. Afterwards the guests and wedding party enjoyed a drinks reception in the gardens, where we took the opportunity to take a few group shots. The guests then made their way to the room for the wedding breakfast whilst we stayed with Ashley, Abu and the bridesmaids for more photos which was so much fun!

The luxurious Warwick Suite at the Belfry Hotel enjoys a ground floor location at the heart of the resort with a dedicated bar facility and doors opening onto the courtyard and fountain, it really is a fabulous venue with its chandeliers and dance floor. After the guests had enjoyed the wedding breakfast, it was time for the speeches which were very touching, funny and emotional, it is always such an honour to witness such heart-warming sentiments about two people who are very much in love. Then came the traditional first dance for Ashley and Abu, followed shortly by all the guests who danced away the night.
