Wedding Videography Kent
We were genuinely over the moon when Abuzer and Vida commissioned us to capture their wedding day at one of the most striking coastal locations the county has to offer. The couple chose to host their romantic wedding ceremony at the spectacular Botany Bay in Margate, Kent — a decision that instantly set this wedding apart and made it incredibly special from a film and visual storytelling perspective. As specialists in Wedding Videography Kent, opportunities like this are exactly why we love what we do.
This was actually our first time visiting Margate, and we were instantly charmed by this timeless English seaside town on the Kent coast. Margate perfectly blends old-world seaside nostalgia with modern, creative 21st-century culture. With over 250 years of history as one of the UK’s leading seaside resorts—alongside its neighbour Ramsgate—it’s a location that feels rich in character, atmosphere, and story. There’s something about the town that just works on film — relaxed, full of character, and effortlessly beautiful by the sea. It’s places like this that remind us why we love filming weddings in Kent and creating natural, story-led films for our couples.

Wedding Videographer Kent, Botany Bay
Our biggest concern leading up to the wedding day was, unsurprisingly, the weather. An April wedding by the sea in Kent can go either way, and Abuzer and Vida had no plan B. Everything was centred around their outdoor beach ceremony. So naturally, I found myself quietly praying to the photography and videography gods for blue skies and calm conditions. Thankfully, they listened. We honestly couldn’t have hoped for better weather—it was bright, dry, and beautifully calm, creating perfect conditions for Wedding Videography Kent by the sea.
We had the pleasure of capturing both film and photography for Abuzer and Vida, and as always, we began the day with morning preparations. Both the bride and groom chose to get ready surrounded by their closest friends and family in a nearby Airbnb overlooking the beautiful sandy Margate Beach. This part of town is one of Margate’s most popular spots, and the views across the coastline were incredible. From a Wedding Videography Kent perspective, starting the day with sea views, natural light, and such a relaxed atmosphere was ideal.
There was a real buzz in the air that morning. It was genuinely lovely to see people out enjoying themselves—local cafés full, people strolling along the promenade, families enjoying the beach. After such a long Covid break, it felt refreshing and uplifting to see life slowly returning to normal. These little background moments are something we always try to subtly weave into our Wedding Videography Kent films, helping tell the wider story of the day and its setting.
Soon, it was time to make our way to Botany Bay, the northernmost of the seven bays in Broadstairs. Known for its dramatic chalk cliffs and secluded feel, Botany Bay is a hugely popular tourist location—and for very good reason. It’s also an exceptional spot for Wedding Videography Kent, offering epic backdrops, natural textures, and constantly changing light.
One of the absolute highlights of this unique wedding was the outdoor ceremony itself. We’re huge fans of outdoor ceremonies as they offer unlimited space, freedom of movement, and the ability to capture moments from multiple creative angles. When all the guests had assembled on the beach, Vida made her way down Botany Bay toward Abuzer for the ceremony. It was an emotional, breathtaking moment—not just for the couple, but for everyone watching.
Seeing Abuzer and Vida exchange vows against the dramatic Kent coastline was incredibly powerful. The sound of the sea, the open sky, and the raw beauty of the cliffs created a ceremony that felt intimate yet cinematic. The wedding film truly reflects just how special that moment was.
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a relaxed drinks reception on the beach while we stole the newlyweds away for a few portraits and video moments along the southeast coast. The scenery was unreal. We then wrapped things up with an amazing sparkler tunnel, which looked incredible on both photo and film. Once the sun goes down, there’s honestly no better way to end such a fantastic day—and it creates some unforgettable Wedding Videography Kent moments.
As many of you know, we absolutely adore shooting during golden hour, and on this day, we squeezed every last drop of magic out of it. The light was soft, warm, and golden—an absolute dream come true for both photographers and videographers. Golden hour by the sea is always special, but for Wedding Videography Kent, it doesn’t get much better than this.
Abuzer and Vida, thank you so much for choosing us to be your Kent wedding videographers and photographers. What a truly fabulous wedding. We wish you both all the happiness in the world as you begin this next chapter together, and we hope you love watching your beautiful highlight film as much as we loved creating it. We can’t wait to return to this spectacular location again, and we’d absolutely love to film and photograph more beach weddings. This one will stay with us for a long time—an unforgettable example of why we love Wedding Videography Kent so much.
