When we are together, nothing else matters.
Eastnor Castle is by far the most visited wedding venue by our team. It’s a home from home thanks to its wonderful family and staff. This fairytale Georgian castle is situated in the foothills of the Malverns, which gives to it a strikingly picturesque appearance. We absolutely love shooting weddings at this spectacular venue and after all these years we are still extremely overwhelmed by its beauty!
Ilona and Shane’s wedding was quite unusual in the way that it was a three day event for us. It all started with an engagement session prior to the big day to get to know each other and most importantly to discuss their fabulous wedding in more detail. We were also invited to their amazing pre wedding party which included archery, falconry and duck herding to name a few. It was a day to remember and we truly enjoyed photographing and filming the event. The couple had decided to host both their ceremony and reception at Eastnor Castle. They paid attention to every single detail and we must admit it exceeded all our expectations. Below is a little wedding highlight we filmed.
Ilona got ready in the Tulip Bedroom in the morning, with her bridesmaids and family whilst Shane got ready with his groomsmen in the Turret Suite. Soon it was time to make their way to the Gothic Drawing Room for the civil ceremony. It really was a breathtaking scene for the family and guests to watch the beautiful Bride walking down the Eastnor Castle’s staircase. When the guests had all assembled in the magnificent suit, Ilona and Shane made their way down the aisle for the wedding service, accompanied by music from a string quartet they looked stunning. Afterwards the guests and wedding party enjoyed a drinks reception in the Octagon room and on the terrace, where we took the opportunity to take a few group shots and some creative portraits of the newlyweds. It was also great to see twirling ribbons which are great alternative to a traditional confetti canons. The State Dining Room looked incredibly beautiful with so many decorations, fresh flowers and favours, which was where the wedding breakfast was held and speeches given. When evening came, we went back to the Octagon Room for the first dance and we ended up the night by a truly spectacular fireworks display by the one and only MLE Pyrotechnics. We can not think of a better way to finish the wedding day! Photographers dream come true.
