Lemore Manor wedding, Herefordshire – West Midlands | Sadie + Ken

Wedding season – autumn

Venue – Lemore Manor

As wedding photographers, we meet many people at a variety of venues and it was at Dewsall Court that we met Sadie a couple of years ago, where she was their wedding coordinator. Last year our paths crossed again when she contacted us to be the photographers at her own wedding, little did we know at that time that she had started a new venture as the wedding coordinator at Lemore Manor in Herefordshire which was where she and Ken planned to have their wedding celebrations. Sadie and Ken visited us to discuss their plans in more detail and we soon realised that this wedding was going to be a lot of fun! Sadie has seen so many weddings and had decided that she wanted their wedding photos to be natural and not posed, in a documentary style, which was great as this is exactly the wedding photography style that we offer. We met again once more before the wedding to photograph their engagement session.

The day of Sadie and Ken’s wedding started in the morning at Lemore Manors Hen House, a cottage in the woods with its own Champagne bar, hot tub, rolled top bath and gilt mirrors where the bridal party prepared for the day ahead, treated to hair and make-up by artist Nicki from Serenity Beauty & Make-Up they had so much fun and laughter and enjoyed a bottle or two of champagne. A little later Ken arrived with his best man to get ready at the main house, then to the basement for a game of pool and a couple of last beers as a single man! Both the bride and grooms wedding preparations were documented by myself and our second shooter (my wife).

Soon it was time for the groom and wedding guests to make their way to the wedding ceremony which was held at Lemore Manors Coach House, dating back to 1831 this newly refurbished fantastic glazed atrium with its high ceilings and natural light was decorated with beautiful flowers provided by Jane Edmonds from Long Barn Flowers, the scene was set for Sadie to make her entrance and looked absolutely stunning as she made her way to be joined with her husband to be. Our favourite registrar the lovely Janet oversaw proceedings, she always does a fantastic job of making each ceremony perfect.

Afterwards the happy couple walked through a tunnel of confetti and enjoyed reception drinks in the garden with their guests followed by a few family photos, when the guests had made their way to the newly built Orangery, we spent some more time with the wedding party to create more beautiful relaxed pictures using smoke grenades! although it was cold in mid-November, the autumnal colours were truly amazing and certainly helped to create some stunning portraits of the couple.

The wedding breakfast was held in The Orangery, which overlooks the delightful gardens and bandstand, guests enjoyed fabulous food and emotional but very funny speeches! With the speeches over, and guests replenished, it was time for dancing with Sadie and Ken taking to the floor for the first dance accompanied by a live band – The Smarties, it was great to see Lemore Manor’s chef Mickey also on the dance floor making sure everyone was happy with the food!

We always enjoy being Herefordshire Wedding Photographers at Lemore Manor and would like to add a massive thank you to the owners Margaret and Ben who always look after us and make us feel like we are a part of a family.

As usual the complete gallery of wedding photography is available to view for friends and family via online password protected gallery.
