Wedding season – winter
Venue – Weston Hall
I do love a winter wedding, especially when the weather is glorious, which was the case in February this year when we were engaged to be the Staffordshire Wedding Photographers at Sarah and James’s wedding at Weston Hall located in the heart of the Staffordshire countryside, this grade II listed building is surrounded by 20 acres of beautiful scenery.
Sarah and James found us online and since they live farther away we did not have the chance to meet prior to the wedding, so we arranged a Skype call to discuss the wedding in more detail.
The big day started at Weston Hall with the bridal preparations in the honeymoon suit, Sarah was with her immediate family and bridesmaids and the make-up was applied by very talented Jessica Ava. Soon it was time for the wedding ceremony, James had arrived and all the guests had assembled in The Shrewsbury, a bright and elegant room with mullioned windows and stone fireplace, a fabulous setting to receive the stunning bride!
Afterwards there was a drinks reception outside in front of the hotel then the guests made their way back to the hotel bar for more drinks before the wedding breakfast, so I managed to steal the newly married couple away to take advantage of the magical winter sunset for some portraits of Sarah and James.
At the wedding breakfast, there was a surprise in store for Sarah, owing to her love of rap and hip hop music, James donned a pair of sun glasses and rapped his groom speech, which was hilarious!
In my work as a Midlands Wedding Photographer I like to take a few evening shots using ‘off camera flash photography’, so again I managed to steal the couple away from the celebrations for some more creative outdoor portraits, then it was time for the party starting off with the traditional first dance with Sarah and James commencing an evening of dance floor mayhem!
As usual the complete gallery of wedding photography is available to view for friends and family via online password protected gallery.
