Many couples from up and down the country choose Eastnor Castle in Herefordshire for their perfect fairy tale wedding venue. This beautiful stately home stands within a 5000 acre estate overlooked by the magnificent Malvern Hills incorporating a 300 acre deer park, woodland and lakes, all within a designated area of outstanding natural beauty. All of these attributes ticked every single box as a wedding venue for Martin and Christine from London, with the ‘icing on the cake’ being the added bonus of the location, just 15 minutes from the M50 and a 1 hour drive from Bristol or Cardiff.
We met Martin and Christine a few weeks before their big day at the castle and they were delighted and very happy at their choice of venue, as it matched perfectly with their wishes for a grand traditional setting for their civil ceremony. It could not have been a better day to meet for their pre wedding photography session, as the bright blue skies above the magnificent castle made a perfect backdrop for Martin and Christine, which made my work as a Herefordshire Wedding Photographer an absolute dream.
From the outset of meeting Martin and Christine, I perceived them to be a very lovely and considerate couple who wanted their day to go as smoothly as possible, not only for themselves but for their friends and family too, not only could the castle provide accommodation for most of their guests, hold a civil ceremony, cater for a large wedding breakfast and could host an evening party, what could be better than having everything under one roof, or rather castle!
When the big day arrived for Martin and Christine earlier on in October this year, thankfully yet again the weather was kind and the sun was shining. The happy couple and wedding guests enjoyed a beautiful and emotional civil ceremony inside the gothic drawing room at the castle followed by a stroll in the gardens with of course a glass of bubbly or two, photographs were taken of the wedding party and an ideal opportunity was taken to steal the bride and groom for 15 minutes for a photoshoot in the magnificent castle grounds.
It became so apparent from meeting Martin and Christine and then over the course of the wedding day, how close as a family and friends they all are, highlighted by the speeches which were very witty and quite revealing in some places! I have been an Eastnor Castle Wedding Photographer many times before, but I have to say that this day had been carefully considered and had all the stops pulled out, with a professional dj from London who happened to be Martins long-time friend provided an all singing all dancing rig with lights, screens and large sound system to boot! To top the lot, there was a hog roast and a very impressive firework display. Congratulations Martin and Christine, you certainly know how to put on a party, we wish you all the happiness in your lives together.
Thank you Christine & Martine for choosing me to be your Eastnor Castle wedding photographer.
